Congrats on “catching” your new Good Fortune Fish!

You lucky art collector, you!

Your Art-o-mat purchase has landed you with your very own Pocket-Sized Orgonite Good Fortune Fish!

Be sure you take good care of them, and read on if ya wanna learn more about your new friend or its creator!

But. . . what is “Orgonite”?

Your fish is a unique, handmade piece of Orgonite Art crafted from the basic ingredients of polyester resin, copper, crystals, and Elite Noble Shungite - at least, those are the bits that come together to make it Orgonite. Your fish may also include “inactive” ingredients like shredded cash, 23K gold, mica pigments for color (some are even black light responsive!), and glitter.

But, what is Orgonite?? Orgonite is a blend of resin, metal, and quartz (or other) crystal. It is said that this combination generates positive energy (energy is also referred to as “Orgone”), or at least neutralizes the negative energies that surround us. Today, Orgonite tools are used for protection (from EMF radiation to negative vibes), wellbeing, and healing. Typically, Orgonite is made into pyramids, but to me pyramids are ssoooo 2600 BCE, so I make mine into fishes, Ouija boards, Hamsa hands, and more!

The story of Orgonite begins with a VERY controversial figure in the 1940s; Dr. Wilhelm Reich who discovered how to collect then concentrate and deliver Orgone energy to his patients, purporting it provided many health benefits. In the 90’s, based on Dr. Reich’s findings, Karl Welz created the first “Orgone Generator” aka “Orgonite”. He used resin, powdered metal, and powdered quartz. Karl Welz is very protective of his invention, even being bothered when years later, follower Don Croft modified the Orgonite composition to use metal shavings instead of powdered metal and adding a quartz crystal whole. Together though, these three men brought Orgone energy and Orgonite tools to the toolkits of many holistic healing practitioners across the globe.

And these Real Crystals?

I LOVE crystals. And more than just loving individual crystals, I love picking out and putting together crystals that work in tandem to bring about vibes or intentions - which is what I did in your little Good Fortune Fish! Check it out!

Hey, my name’s Jessie!

Hi, my name’s Jessie Britely (Bright-lee, like Rainbow Brite), and I’m the artist behind your brand new Good Fortune Fish! When I’m not making these lil pocket sized Orgonite fishes you can find me advocating to #humanizementalhealth, painting fluid art, writing, helping my fellow offbeat creatives launch what they love, traveling, streaming on Twitch, or just hanging out with my boo and our three lil furbabes in our 1920’s bungalow home (forever under decoration/renovation).

I’ve done almost every job under the sun, tried nearly every hobby, and will give almost anything a go - ya know, at least just once. Just like the packaging says, I believe that luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity; I like to be prepared for everything so that in theory, I could take on anything!

Feel free to check out more about me in my. . . About Me page (I know, original, right?) or feel free to reach out!
