Instagram Graphics for The Escapist!
Intro Post for all Brands/Shows
(pardon the grabbed logos, they would look MUCH nicer with original files!) This background format has a diagonal color block, which can be switched back and forth with posts - or use different colors for different brands (like the yellow hex code for Zero Punctuation)
Post could read something like:
Hey there! We’re The Escapist! And our specialty is bringing you new content EVERY WEEK (caps are optional, that’s my default) covering the latest games, movies, and irreverent pop culture opinions you never asked for because you never knew you needed them! If gaming is your thing be sure to check out [insert all relevant gaming shows and why the scroller might like them]. If movies are more your thing, join [so and so] on [insert movie shows] as they [insert what they do]. Whatever your interest, we’ve got something for you! Even the D&D adventurers can gain some tips and tricks from resident DM/roller/[insert clever title here], Jack!
And now, new and improved (side note, how can something be both new AND improved?), our Escapist + Memberships on YouTube! Emotes? CHECK! Early access to content? CHECK! Slightly annoying updates from Nick? DOUBLE CHECK! So be sure to check us out over at The Escapist on YouTube, the best rabbit hole on the internet!
Idea 1 for New Episode Announcement - The Escapist Show: Mass Effect. . . Butt Controversy
(again, pardon the subpar logo grab. . .)
I like throwing lots of things at the wall to see what sticks and I’m never butthurt (get it??) if something, or if nothing, sticks. I welcome feedback/constructive criticism and am fully aware that having an Instagram post with y’all’s faces in a butt may not be “on-brand” - but I pretty much had to do it as soon I as I saw it on the video.
Idea 2 for New Episode Announcement - The Escapist Show: Mass Effect. . . Butt Controversy
This is focusing on one thing that happened/was said from the video and using it as a way to tag D&D-related terms and get social engagement by asking something like “Sure the YouTube comments say Nick’s not that charismatic, but come on, look that smile! He’s way more #bard than #barbarian, right?
Idea 3 for New Episode Announcement - The Escapist Show: Mass Effect. . . Butt Controversy
This is a similar format to the above. . . I like formats! So the color stripe in the middle then the games y’all mentioned are in the center as the main focus of the post. Whatever font you prefer can be used as the “NEW EPISODE” announcement, and again, a much prettier logo - especially if there’s one that is formatted to be longer. . .
Idea 4 for New Episode Announcement - The Escapist Show: Mass Effect. . . Butt Controversy
This is the “throw everything at the wall” post idea - include everything you talked about in the show as a little image/logo. This format has the color block at the bottom, which can be reversed.
In the post I would do something like a bulleted list and ask silly questions something like. . .
Monster Sanctuary: Worth 8 hours to capture the same monsters repeatedly?
Is Miranda’s butt actually an ear?
Should Jack talk MORE or LESS about D&D? (we all know Nick’s vote)
Little Nightmares the movie. . . discuss. . .
And so on. . .
This has nothing to do with the Escapist, just a shameless appeal to Nick’s sports ball team preference. Tipsy grew out of her jersey a bit since her grandma first got it for her though. . . Personally I went to UCF, but, they don’t do well at the sports ball.
